Leak Testing
There are various leak testing methods. Leak testing using a helium trace in nitrogen, is proven to be the most quantifiable and scientifically accurate method available. Developed over two decades ago, helium leak detection remains the international industry standard for effective leak testing of hydrocarbon systems. Helium is the best choice of tracer gas to find leaks for a number of reasons. It is non-toxic, inert, non-condensable, non-flammable and not normally present in the atmosphere at more than trace amounts (5 ppm). Due to its small atomic size, helium passes easily through leaks. The only molecule smaller than Helium is Hydrogen which is not inert. It is also relatively inexpensive and is available in various size cylinders.
Nitrogen leak testing is also most commonly used for gas lines, tanks, vessels, accumulators and cylinders.
We are one of the leading companies for the provision of nitrogen helium testing and our fleet, which includes nitrogen convertors, single skids, split skids, pumps, tanks, testing equipment, vaporizers and other ancillary equipment, is one of the newest and largest in the industry. All equipment is certified for both onshore and offshore operations and with the significant investment we have made in technology we believe reliability is our real differentiator, reducing risk of breakdown during critical path operations.
